Laurel Blossom is a resident of rural South Carolina. She has written numerous poetry books including Wednesday: New and Selected Poems, The Papers Said, What's Wrong, Any Minute, a chapbook which was nominated for the Elliston Prize, and Degrees of Lattitude, her most recent book. A lifelong swimmer, Blossom also edited a poetry anthology titled Splash: Great Writing About Swimming. She has been featured in several poetry anthologies and magazines and has also written many essays and book reviews. Additionally, Blossom has received numerous awards including a lifetime Foundation Fellowship from Harris Manchester College, Oxford University and fellowships from National Endowment for the Arts, the New York Foundation for the Arts, and the Ohio Arts Council.
