The Manuscripts Collections cover a wide range of subjects, individuals, and entities with a connection to South Carolina. Within our manuscript collections, we have papers of individuals connected to Furman University, and Greenville Woman's College and historical records for both of these institutions. Materials which support the current curricula and programs at Furman University are considered germane additions. Materials pertaining to the history and residents of Greenville and the South Carolina Upstate are also included in this section. Papers and manuscripts associated with authors active in Greenville or the Upstate literary community are also part of this collection. We also hold the records of noteworthy organizations in Greenville, the Upstate, and South Carolina. Finally, manuscript materials pertaining to South Carolina Baptists are included in the Manuscript Collection.
