Abstract:The Mims Family papers date from 1834 to 1878. They consist of correspondence between the family members of James Sessions Mims, Professor of Theology at Furman University from 1843 to 1855. The correspondents include: James S. Mims, Mrs. Sarah Mims, Columbia Mims, Samuel Mims, Samuel A. Mims, Catherine A. Mims, Olive Mims, Harriet McIver, Hannah McIver, P.K. McIver, and William Nolen. The bulk of the collection dates from 1844 to 1853 concerning family and friends.
