Provenance: It is unknown who donated Accession # 1967-063 to the library. The papers arrived in a package that was postmarked NYC with no return address. It was probably Mrs. Emory Halloway (Ella Brooks Harris) great-granddaughter of William B. Johnson. The papers were accessioned on August 25, 1967. Accretion # 0000-032 was rediscovered in the Archives in August 2011.

Abstract: The papers of Charles Hallette Judson date from 1830 to 1933. They include personal and financial correspondence, financial papers, personal writings, biographical material, a text book, his class register, and records related to the S.C. Baptist State Convention. The bulk of the collection consists of financial correspondence and records from 1855 to 1892.
