Abstract:The collection donated by Mrs. Goldsmith was separated into the Manly Family Collection, the Basil Manly, Sr. Collection, and the Basil Manly, Jr. Collection. The bulk of this collection consists of Basil Manly, Jr.’s personal writings between 1840 and 1853. Manly’s papers also contain personal correspondence and essays. All Oversize materials from the Basil Manly, Sr. Collection, the Basil Manly, Jr. Collection, and the Manly Family Collection can be found in Box 4 of the Basil Manly, Sr. Collection.
