About PASCAL Delivers

PASCAL Delivers - South Carolina's virtual academic library . . .

Quick Facts:

• PASCAL Delivers is currently just for books.
• You will need your Furman ID number to place your request.
• Loan period is 6 weeks, NO RENEWALS.
• Up to 25 items per person may be in this system at one time.
• Books should arrive in 3 business days via the Pascal Courier.
• Pick up your books at the Circulation Desk in the main library.

PASCAL Delivers is a statewide borrowing initiative among academic libraries. It's faster because you submit the request directly into the system and the courier delivers the book!

PASCAL Delivers and Interlibrary Loan are different but parallel services. To request journal articles, other items, and books not available through PASCAL Delivers, please use the ILL Online Request form or send your request to document.delivery@furman.edu.

2 Ways to Search:
1. Search ALCUIN, the Furman library catalog. If you don't find what you need, or the book is unavailable, click on the PASCAL Delivers button (pictured right). Or, you can...

2. Go directly to and search PASCALCat at http://www.pascalcat.org

3 Steps to Order:

  1. Find the item you want, click "Request This Item."
  2. Identify Furman University from the drop-down menu, and “Submit.”
  3. Enter your first and last name, and your Furman ID number.

The system will verify that you are eligible to use Pascal Delivers. To be eligible, you must not have excessive fines and overdue items on your Furman patron record.

You don’t have to worry about where the book will come from since the system automatically chooses a lender. A confirmation notice will display telling you which library will supply the book.

If the book you want is not available in South Carolina, you can always submit an Interlibrary Loan request.
