General Article Databases
These databases include articles from a wide variety of journals, magazines, and newspapers. They are good sources for finding basic articles on almost any topic.
Academic Search Premier	Academic Search Premier indexes over 8000 journals and magazines, with full text for about 4700 of those titles.
Expanded Academic ASAP	Expanded Academic ASAP indexes over 3000 journals and magazines, with the full text of recent articles from about a 1000 of these titles.
Omnifile	Omnifile indexes over 2700 journals, with the full text of recent articles from over 1300 of these titles.
Lexis-Nexis	Lexis-Nexis includes the full text of articles from newspapers, magazines, wire services, and other major news sources. It includes some academic journals as well. Lexis-Nexis is most useful for finding recent articles on current events, business, law, and politics.
JSTOR	JSTOR provides full image access to articles from about 500 of the most important scholarly journals. JSTOR goes back to the very first issue of each journal (many of them in the 19th Century), but does not include the most recent five years.
