ATLA Religion Index with ATLA Serials
1949-present. Journals and books indexed cover the fields of church history, biblical literature, theology, history of religions, sociology and psychology of religion and other subject areas in the humanities and current events. Some full text.
Humanities Abstracts Fulltext Humanities Abstracts indexes about 400 English language journals in a wide variety of subjects including archaeology, classical studies, folklore, history and religion. Indexing goes back to 1984. About 96 of the journals indexed are full text.
Essay and General Literature Abstracts Indexes essays and articles contained in collections of essays and miscellaneous works. Gives analysis of individual essays and full bibliographic information on collective titles indexed. This database focuses on the humanities and social sciences, with subject coverage ranging from economics, political science, and history to criticism of literary works, drama, and film.
Encyclopaedia Judaica A multimedia database containing the latest edition of the encyclopedia. It is available from Permanant Reserves at the Circulation Desk and can be installed on any computer in the Information Commons.
Encyclopaedia of Islam Online versions of the Encylopaedia of Islam, second and third editions. The entire text of volumes I to XI and Supplement (Volume XII) of the printed edition of the Encyclopaedia of Islam, encompassing over 12,000 printed pages. Editing of the 3rd edition is ongoing.
Catholic Encyclopedia The online version of the 1913 edition of the Catholic Encyclopedia. This transcription is still in process but mostly complete.
