Institute of Physics Journals The Institute of Physics Electronic Journal collection includes the full text of articles from 27 IOP publications from the last two years.
MathSciNet Produced by the American Mathematical Society, this database indexes math and physics journals, books, and proceedings back to 1940. It does not include the full text of articles.
arXiv arXiv is an e-print service in the fields of physics, mathematics, non-linear science, computer science, and quantitative biology. The contents of arXiv conform to Cornell University academic standards. arXiv is owned, operated and funded by Cornell University, a private not-for-profit educational institution. arXiv is also partially funded by the National Science Foundation.
LTRS LTRS (Langley Technical Reports Server) is a service which allows users to search available online NASA published documents, including Meeting Presentations, Journal Articles, Conference Proceedings, and Technical Reports. Many documents are available in compressed PostScript and PDF formats. All documents are unclassified and publicly available.
Current Physics Index
Science Reading Room (Plyler Hall)
Produced by the American Institute of Physics, this source is arranged similarly to the Physics Abstracts (see below.) It uses the same scheme to arrange the abstracts, and has a subject and author index. The library has this index from 1975 to the present. It is located on the first floor of the Science Reading Room.
Physics Abstracts
Science Reading Room (Plyler Hall)
Each year of this volume has multiple parts. One part has the actual abstracts and citations. This part is arranged by categories or schemes such as: "atomic & molecular physics", "condensed matter", "geophysics", etc. There is a subject and author index which helps the user locate the needed abstracts. The library has this source from 1955 to 1995. It is located on the first floor of the Science Reading Room.

Furman University Physics Department
Jet Propulsion
Laboratory

Created and maintained by NASA and Cal.Tech this site is brimming with information and news about the JPL and its missions. The site has links to photographs taken through high powered telescopes such as Hubble, and by the many probes that the JPL has launched. There is also information on past, current, future and proposed missions. The news section of the site is kept current with information about, and count downs to, imminent launches.
NASA Astrophysics
Data System

This site sponsored by NASA and maintained by Harvard offers access to the abstracts of periodicals, conference proceedings, NASA reports, and PhD theses in the areas of astronomy, space instrumentation, physics and geophysics. The abstracting dates back to 1975. The abstracts can be searched by keyword, author, or article title. This site also provides access to the scanned full-text of about 28 periodicals and conference proceedings
WWW Virtual Library:
Physics

This site is a good jumping off point for a physics related search of the Internet. The site is divided into sections such as astrophysics, geophysics, nuclear physics, energy etc. The site also provided links to university physics departments across the U.S.
