Articles
MathSciNet Produced by the American Mathematical Society, this database indexes books, periodical and proceedings back to 1940. The library has the paper version, also back to 1940. The online version is much easier to use.
General Science Abstracts and Full-Text General Science indexes 167 popular science periodicals and the Science section of the New York Times. The periodicals covered range from very general to highly specialized. Articles from 40 of the 167 journals are available full-text.
Applied Science & Technology Applied Science & Technology indexes 350 periodicals, covering engineering, mathematics, physics, and computer technology. The articles are more technical than those in General Science Abstracts.
Expanded Academic Index Expanded Academic indexes general interest magazines, journals and newspapers covering a wide variety of topics including the general sciences.

Mathematical Reviews
(In the Bound Periodicals)

Produced by the American Mathematical Society, this source indexes books, periodicals and proceedings back to 1940. The back issues are with the bound periodicals, the current issues with the current periodicals. There is an online version called MathSciNet (see Online Databases). The online version is much easier to use.

Videos and Multimedia
Beyond the Mind's Eye This video explores the technology and artistry involved in computer animation. Some thought is also given to virtual reality or alternate dimensions.
Chaos, Fractals and Dynamics: Computer Experiments in Mathematics Distributed by the American Mathematical Society, this program explains the mathematics of dynamic systems using computer generated representations of fractals and Julia sets.

John Poole's "Euclid: The Elements" "Using the text of Sir Thomas Heath's translation of The Elements, I have graphically glossed Books I - IV to produce a reader friendly version of Euclid's Plane Geometry. The four books contain 115 propositions which are logically developed from five postulates and five common notions . In the first proposition, Proposition 1, Book I, Euclid shows that, using only the postulates and common notions, it is possible to construct an equilateral triangle on a given straight line. In the hundred fifteenth proposition, Proposition 16, Book IV, he shows that it is possible to inscribe a regular 15-gon in a circle. And along the way he develops many beautiful, interesting, captivating, and pleasing results. You are invited to read this part of one of the Great Books of the Western World."
Math Archives This site is funded by the National Science Foundation and maintained by Calvin College and the University of Tennessee. Its goal is to provide access to Internet resources on the subject of mathematics. Currently the site offers links to teaching materials, software, lecture notes, reports, electronic journals, grant information etc. There is also a search engine for the site itself. This site has won numerous awards and commendations from groups that rank and evaluate Web sites.
e-Math: What’s New in Mathematics This site is a section of e-Math, the official web site of the American Mathematical Society. Most of the AMS site is aimed at members of the society. "What’s New in Mathematics", however, is aimed at students and the general public. This section includes abstracts of news pieces related to math, including NPR reports. It has a list of book reviews related to mathematics and links to other Internet math resources.
