Encyclopedia of Hydrological Sciences

Approximately 200 hundred articles touching on a variety of subjects, including the availability and exploitation of fresh water resources through population increase, pollution and degradation of resources, and variations in distribution from regional and global change in the climate. Treatise of Geochemistry

An electronic version of the 12 volume reference work, presenting a comprehensive, integrated summary of the present state of the field of geochemistry

Water Encyclopedia

Covers a wide range of topics including water quality, wastewater, ground water, surface water, oceans, industrial water, water chemistry, drinking water, ultrapure water, and water resources.

Access Science

An online encyclopedia of science and technology. It includes over 7000 articles, 100,000 definitions and 2000 in depth biographies. It also offers weekly updates on scientific events, discoveries and breakthroughs, plus links to quality web sites.

Soil Surveys Soil Surveys contain information that can be used in land-planning programs. They survey limitations and hazards inherent in the soil and selected land uses on the environment.

GeoRef

GeoRef is produced by the American Geological Institute. It indexes journal articles, book chapters, maps, conference papers, and dissertations in the geosciences. Fields covered included crystallography, geochemistry, marine geology, oceanography and paleontology among others.

Geobase

Covers worldwide literature on geology, geography and ecology. 1980-present no full text

Scopus

Scopus is one of the largest abstract and citation databases of research literature and quality web sources. Updated daily, it indexes over 15,000 titles from 4,000 different publishers. It provides indexing by citations cited.

Cambridge Scientific

Indexes 6,000 biology journals, conference proceedings, technical reports, and other sources for students and faculty who need in-depth, advanced information for biological research.

Maps and Atlases

Geologic Quadrangle Maps: Multicolor geologic maps on topographical bases in 7.5 or 15 minute quadrangle units; show bedrock, surficial or engineering geology. Maps are accompanied by brief texts and some maps by structure and columnar sections.

Topographical Maps: Accurately represents the natural and manmade features of the land. Shape and elevation of the terrain are portrayed by contour lines and specific features such as roads, towns, water areas and vegetation are portrayed by map symbols and colors. United States only
