ALCUIN

Hints using ALCUIN: To get background or how-to information, do a keyword search for a broad topic (ie. music, american history, politics, economics) and add (encyclopedia* or dictionar*) or (handbook* or manual*). The "or" tells ALCUIN to search for either term, the "*" is truncation (singular or plural.)

for example:

Civil rights and (encyclopedia* or dictionar*)
photography and (handbook* or manual*)

Quotation Sources
The library has many different quotation books, with quotations collected from a variety of people and points of view. Most are shelved in Reference, near each other. Here are just a few:
