Water Efficient Landscaping

Storm water feeds the retention pond from this building and site along with campus storm water from the main campus buildings, sites and parking lots, the rain water that falls on the lake and adjacent water shed, and a stream. Water demand was decreased through the preservation of mature trees, adding plant species that are indigenous to the area, the extensive use of mulch and reduced use of turf grass.
