Construction workers chip away at the old chimney

Sparks fly as the elevator rails are being removed

While the rails are being cut, other workers concentrate on knocking out the walls of the elevator shaft

Over Thanksgiving break, the focus of demolition on the main floor was on the chimney and elevator shaft

A concrete saw was used to cut up the concrete border around the third floor

The front porch of the Library is now off-limits to anyone other than construction personnel
