The library closed to the public for one week to get essential services moved to the new wing

Smith Dray Line was contracted for the moving of all library assets to the new wing

A scissors lift was used to clear the way for the opening of an access hole to the second floor

A worker uses a reciprocal saw to cut through the wooden ceiling grid

With the access hole partially open, books from the second floor shelving can be seen

'Orbie' uses a reciprocal saw to slice through the last few pieces of the ceiling grid below the access hole

With the hole now completely open, workers bring up a steel beam on the scissors lift to rig up a pulley system for hoisting the giant forklift into place

The treehouse has been disassembled and will be moved to a residence hall

Jeff from Smith Dray breaks down the Circulation Desk in preparation for its move to the new wing

Dr. Bandelin and Mary Pat Crozier talk about the construction project as the Circulation Desk is being reassembled in its new home

The public computer carrels are being relocated to the Peace Wing

The custom designed lights for the atrium have been installed

A concrete walkway has been laid to what will be the temporary entrance to the main library until Fall 2004

The walkway extends along the side of the building to the new temporary CCLC entrance
