Sections of crown molding are being installed on the second floor

Workers make adjustments to a section of crown molding before mounting it

Several sections have already been installed along one side of the second floor lobby

In the Special Collections research room, a worker touches up the crown molding with joint compound

This view shows a corner section of crown molding above the display areas in the walls of the research room

Due to the messy nature of the work in progress on the second floor, the entrances to the Pitts Room have been covered to protect it

The marble stairs have also been covered down to the main floor below

Openings for windows have been cut on the south side of the ground level

Octavio from Triangle Construction patches the wall around the window openings

A worker inspects the progress made in the elevator shaft

The piston that will raise and lower the elevator has been installed
