The new Reference area will be similar in appearance to the new Circulation area

View of the main floor from the temporary access hole in the second floor (approximately 30 feet up)

Workers from GM Mechanical put the finishing touches on ductwork high up above the main floor

A worker from the window crew uses a long metal pole to break out all of the old window panes on the north side

If you look closely, you can actually see a large shard of glass plummeting towards the floor

The reflection of one of the second floor window bays can be seen in this new window that is waiting to be installed

Throughout the renovation of the old building, the front porch has served as a continual staging area

One never knows what one will see on top of the Library's chimneys

In this case, it's George Sweet, Project Superintendent for Triangle Construction

Sparks ricochet off the floor under the chimney shaft as George cuts through a metal lining at the top

In the basement, the framing for the instruction and presentation rooms has been completed

William from Triangle Construction is putting pieces of rebar in an existing doorway which will be filled in with cement
