How can I get an article or book that Furman doesn't have?

There are a number of different ways for us to get you the information you need. For journal articles, even if we dont subscribe to the journal in print, we may be able to get it for you online. We'll be happy to help you with this at the reference desk, or you can check the lists of some of our titles which are fulltext online.

If we can't get it for you online, we can usually get the article, as well as any books or other materials, for you through interlibrary loan. This service is free, but it does take a couple of weeks for the articles to come in, so be sure to start your research early enough to allow for that. We encourage you to read about our interlibrary loan policies and procedures. Another option, if it's not fulltext online and you don't have time to wait for an interlibrary loan, is to check other libraries in the area to see if they might have the item.
