The serpentine-fronted top with a molded edge and the serpentine and bombe case containing four long graduated drawers veneered in well-figured timeber, and with unusal brass circular handles and escutcheons, the whole raised on short flared bracket feet with brass sabots.

The rectangular top has bow-fronted ends and a slightly raised conforming superstructure, the case with a central long concave-fronted drawer flanked by bowed pedestals each containing a shallow and a deep drawer inlaid with satinwood banding, stringing and fan medallions, the whole raised on short square legs with block feet.

The dial with silvered center incorporating a subsidiary seconds dial and calendar aperature and with phase of the moon in the arch, the movement of eight-day duration with anchor escapement striking hours on a bell contained in a mahogany case with fretwork swan's neck cresting, free-standing fluted columns to the hood, fan-inlaid door and panelled plinth.
