During the 2005-2006 academic year the Libraries: Held over 445,000 volumes in the collection Added 16,900 new items to the collection Housed over 9,000 music, video, and multimedia items Subscribed to 1,300 periodicals in print and provided access to 20,000 online Provided access to over 100 research databases Provided 150 computers in the Libraries and adjoining labs Spent $1,437,000 on books, journals, databases, and other resources In the 2005-2006 academic year students, faculty, and others: Visited the main library over 390,000 times Checked out 48,500 books and other items Asked over 6,500 reference questions Attended library instruction classes 2,300 times in 132 sessions Library personnel include: 13 professional librarians 16 support staff 60 student assistants |
